www.si.com There have already been a ton of coaching changes this offseason with massive fantasy football implications. The next coaching regimes are beginning to take over, and offenses are preparing for a shift in philosophy and, hopefully, productivity. Drafting players on good offenses is highly beneficial due to the touchdown upside and number of opportunities that the team can provide. That said, let’s look at some offenses you should be targeting for 2024 fantasy football. Atlanta Falcons The Atlanta Falcons have been underwhelming in past years, especially after Matt Ryan and Julio Jones sailed into the sunset. However, it certainly is not due to a lack of talent. The Falcons offense has some weapons that could be primed for a breakout with new head coach Raheem Morris. Atlanta (finally) decided it was time to move on from head coach Arthur Smith and was able to bring in highly sought-after coach Raheem Morris. Got Heem!We have hired Raheem Morris as our head coach— Atlanta Falcons (@AtlantaFalcons) January 26, 2024 Morris was previously the defensive coordinator for the Rams and is not a new face to the Falcons franchise, having spent the 2015 to 2020 seasons with the team, including a stint as interim head coach. Drake London, Kyle Pitts and Bijan Robinson are players I would be looking forward to drafting if the value is right. A late-round pick on Tyler Allgeier or Jonnu Smith could also prove fruitful. The Falcons front office is looking for a change to their stagnant, low-scoring offense and Morris could be the answer. Indianapolis Colts Shane Steichen is an example of how the right coaching change can catapult your entire organization. The Colts drafted Anthony Richardson and addressed their contractual issues with Johnathan Taylor last season which were great moves. Michael Pittman Jr is a stud, Josh Downs had a fantastic rookie campaign, and Steichen is one of the best offensive minds in the entire NFL. With all the talent in Indianapolis, the Colts should have a great 2024 campaign. The Shannahan coaching tree continues its success as Gardner Minshew earned a Pro Bowl nod for the Colts. The Colts offense with Richardson pre-injury showed exactly what you want in a fantasy football offense. The Colts were moving the ball at will, and the dual-threat ability of Richardson paired with the elite talent of Taylor in the backfield has the Colts’ offense set to explode in 2024 Houston Texans Rookie of the Year front-runner CJ Stroud put on an incredible show for fantasy managers in 2023. The 22-year-old signal caller seemed comfortable in the NFL and has what it takes to run a great offense. Stroud’s passing ability and decision-making should only continue to improve, and he has weapons around him that can get the job done. The Texans have life again and should continue to be a top offense for years to come. If the Texans could get some production out of Dameon Pierce or even something of value for him in a trade, they could be a top-10 offense in the NFL. Buffalo Bills This one might be a little more obvious, but somehow, I feel the Bills offense could be underrated. Josh Allen finished the year on a tear and showed us he is still the annual MVP candidate we saw in the last couple of years. Losing Gabe Davis to free agency might not be one of the worst things that could happen to the Bills. Decluttering some of their target shares could prove fruitful as they have some absolute stars at the skill positions. Steffon Diggs is pretty self-explanatory, and although he had a down year, I would take that with a grain of salt, especially if Davis does get picked up by another team. Losing Davis would also provide more opportunities for rookie sensation Dalton Kincaid, who quickly showed us the impact he can have in this offense. James Cook also had a career year, and the Bills offense seems to be in reloading year more than a rebuilding year. I am excited to see the moves the Bills make in the offseason, but I expect them to be a top 5 offense next season, as usual.
