Top Underrated 2025 Prospects

Ashton Jeanty

Boise State (RB)

While many 2025 draft enthusiasts know the name, casual dynasty and college football fans may not. I’ll admit that before I started my research for this article, I wasn’t even too familiar with his game. That’s just because he goes to Boise State, a much smaller school compared to the players above him.

Jeanty’s biggest strength is in the receiving game as he projects to be a Jahmyr Gibbs type back. That said he does have a 31.7 BMI (5’9” 215 lbs), so I could see him sneaking into a bigger role depending on his landing spot. As a sophomore Jeanty caught 43 passes for 569 yards posting a remarkable 13.23 YPR mark.

It’s not like he was an underachiever in the running game either, though. Jeanty ran for 1,347 (6.1 YPC) yards and 14 touchdowns. If Jeanty goes in the early second round which is his early projection on Tankathon, he’ll easily be a first round rookie pick.

Jalen Milroe

Alabama (QB)

While Jalen Milroe is a name that most people know, I feel like he’s being underrated in the dynasty community. We all know that rushing quarterbacks are kings, and Milroe is just that. While his passing skills are still inconsistent, he displayed a willingness to run the ball in 2023. Even when accounting for the negative rushing yards sacks give, Milroe had 531 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Even if Milroe goes in the late first to early second round of the NFL draft, he’s a worthy selection. That said, Milroe possesses a fair amount of upside as well in all aspects of his game. Milroe has good arm strength, ability to create outside the pocket and he has a plus feel for the game. The issue is his ability to demonstrate these attributes on a down-to-down basis.

Tory Horton

Colorado State (WR)

Tory Horton is one of the few players that I’ve seen a little bit of film on, and it’s been impressive. Going to Colorado State hurts his level of competition, and that’s why he’s lower on many NFL boards. Even so, it’s insane to catch 96 passes for 1,136 yards and eight touchdowns at any level.

Tankathon has Horton going 78th overall in the third round which is solid draft capital as well. One of the main reasons Horton is this low is due to his inability to separate consistently. Horton isn’t very twitchy and doesn’t possess many of the attributes that will help him win at the next level. That said if he can make these separation wins a more consistent part of his game he could skyrocket up boards.
