Top 24 Week 6 Quarterback and Tight End Rankings & Tiers (2024 Fantasy FootballWeek seven is officially kicking off, and we need to make some final lineup adjustments. These rankings are based on statistical analysis, matchup data, sportsbook data, and film. Good luck, and I hope everyone has an amazing start to their fantasy football week! Aaron Rodgers @ PIT 24. Justin Herbert @ ARI Must Start: Quarterback C.J. Stroud @ GB ESPN Projection - QB15 For the FTR start of the week, the players that will be eligible for this list are all close to being ranked as a back-end QB1/TE1 based on ESPN’s PPR projections. Admittedly I wasn’t super high on C.J. Stroud coming into the year but he’s still a starting caliber player without Nico Collins. For most quarterbacks losing their WR1 would be a massive deal but the Texans have arguably the best receiver room in the NFL. The matchup against the Packers is pretty average for Stroud as they’ve allowed the 14th least fantasy points to quarterbacks (97.7) this season. The over/under for this game is 47.5 points, according to FanDuel, and I could easily see this turning into a shootout. While I don’t believe that Stroud is going to be a top-five quarterback this week, he’s a must-start in the way that it just doesn’t make sense to leave him on your bench. Week 7 Wide Receiver and Running Back Rankings & Tiers Week 7 Tight End Rankings Tier 1 1. George Kittle vs KC 2. Brock Bowers @ LAR 3. Travis Kelce @ SF 4. Trey McBride vs LAC Tier 2 5. Tyler Conklin @ PIT 22. Jonnu Smith @ IND 23. Mike Gesicki @ CLE 24. Chig Okonkwo @ BUF Must Start: Tight End Sam LaPorta @ MIN ESPN Projection - TE15 Despite having a 12.2 point game, Sam LaPorta isn’t giving owners much more confidence that he’s turning things around. All LaPorta’s points came from one 52 yard touchdown which was also his only target on the day. That said the Lions blew out the Cowboys rather quickly and the rest of the game it just seemed like they were trying stuff. Putting LaPorta here says more about the other tight ends right now than LaPorta himself. That said, it’s nice to see that big play ability from LaPorta for really the first time this season. LaPorta has an above-average matchup taking on the Vikings in week seven, who have allowed the 13th most fantasy points (66.5 points) to tight ends this year. On top of that, if you go over to PFF’s TE Matchup tool, LaPorta has a 24% advantage this week, which is one of the highest scores out there. While LaPorta still isn’t a great option, I’d still rather play him than the other waiver-wire guys based on his upside, offense, and matchup this week.
