Week 13 Running Back and Wide Receiver Rankings & Tiers (PPR)

For most, there’s just a few more weeks before the fantasy football playoffs which means every game counts. We have three games on Thursday this week with an additional Friday game, meaning there’s a lot of sit/start decisions to be made soon. These rankings are constructed through statistical analysis, matchup data, sportsbook data, and film.

Rankings are made under the following injury assumptions. These are just predictions based on the most recent news at 11/27. Rankings will change as new updates come out.

Healthy: Isiah Pacheco, Brian Robinson Jr (Limited)

Out: DeVonta Smith, J.K. Dobbins

Must Start: WR

Terry McLaurin vs TEN

ESPN Projection - WR27

Terry McLaurin being ranked as the WR27 makes no sense by ESPN even in a tough matchup. The Titans have defended wide receivers very well this year, allowing the third least fantasy points (307.9). That said McLaurin is averaging 14.6 PPG this year which is really driven down by two games under four points.

That said, McLaurin has been a great fantasy option since week six averaging 16 PPG even with that two point game in week 11. Even if McLaurin has a bit of a lower floor with such a tough matchup, he’s been so dominant overall that you have to plug him into your FLEX spot at the very least.

36. Travis Etienne Jr. vs HOU

Must Start: RB

Bucky Irving @ CAR

ESPN Projection - RB21

Since week six Bucky Irving has been on a tear averaging 17 PPG. Despite playing in a committee, Irving has been fairly consistent as well, scoring more than 15 PPG in five of his last six games. Now Irving gets to face the Panthers who have allowed the most fantasy points to running backs this year (335.1)

It’s also worth noting that FanDuel Sportsbook has the Buccaneers implied team total at 26 points (5th highest on the week). This should provide Irving with some touchdown upside as we’ve seen him get into the end zone in three of his last six games. RB21 is a bit low for my liking and I’m playing Irving without any hesitation this week.
