10 Must Buy and Sell Trade Targets for Week 7 (2024 & 2025 Fantasy Basketball)

10 Must Buy and Sell Trade Targets for Week 7 (2024 & 2025 Fantasy Basketball)

With almost six weeks of basketball in the books, here are some players who are worth buying low and selling high, given a lot of players have over and under performed compared to their actual value. Now is a great time to take advantage of desperate managers who are looking for a quick early season win rather than valuing their long term assets.

Buy Low

Desmond Bane

(Memphis Grizzlies G)

Desmond Bane has had a really cold start to begin the season as he’s only averaged 13.8 PPG and 6.4 RPG on 41% FG% and 31% 3PT% (in the thirteen games he’s played in). Bane has proven he’s capable of being better as he put up 23.7 PPG, 5.5 APG, and 4.4 RPG on 46% from the field and 36% from deep in the 2023-24 season. While the volume will definitely be lower with Ja Morant back (after missing a majority of last season), the efficiency should increase once Desmond gets back in an offensive rhythm.

Dejounte Murray

(New Orleans Pelicans G)

Dejounte Murray has had a tough start to his Pelicans campaign as he’s only gone for 16.3 PPG, 6 RPG, and 6 APG on 30% FG% and 33% 3PT%. Murray has shown more shooting consistency in prior seasons, which is why now is a great time to buy him at a discount. Dejounte is coming off a 2023-24 season where he averaged 22.5 PPG, 6.4 APG, and 5.4 RPG on 46% from the field and 36% from 3PT range. With the Pelicans still dealing with injuries, look for Murray to have a bigger role in the coming weeks.

Devin Vassell

(San Antonio Spurs G/F)

Devin Vassell has started out this season slowly, as he’s only gone for 15.8 PPG and 3 APG on 45/40/100 shooting splits. Devin has had limited minutes (22.2 MPG) this season due to knee and foot injuries, which has given him less fantasy appeal. Vassell is coming off a career year in 2023-24 where he averaged 19.5 PPG, 4.1 APG, and 1.1 SPG on 47/37/80 shooting splits, so look for San Antonio to get him more involved as Devin gets reacclimated to NBA action.

CJ McCollum

(New Orleans Pelicans G)

CJ McCollum has been a little inconsistent since returning from injury, as he’s put up 24 PPG and 2.3 APG on 46% from the field and 35% from deep over his last three games. With Zion Williamson still out, look for McCollum to see a bigger on-ball role, which should lead to more assists per game in the future. McCollum is coming off a strong season where he averaged 20 PPG and 4.6 APG on 46% FG% and 43% 3PT%.

Mikal Bridges

(New York Knicks G/F)

Mikal Bridges has struggled lately, as he’s only averaging 12.3 PPG and 3 RPG on 33% from the field and 27% from three over his past four games. Bridges changed his shot form prior to the start of the season, which led to a regression in his 3PT shooting (from 37% in 2023-24 to 30% in 2024-25). Despite the 3PT struggles, Bridges is shooting significantly better from the field than last season (went from 43% in 2023-24 to 46% in 2024-25). If a fantasy manager is frustrated with Mikal, now is a great time to buy him, considering he should have positive shooting regression in the future.

Sell High

Franz Wagner

(Orlando Magic F)

Franz Wagner has been on a tear lately as he’s averaging 25.4 PPG, 6.5 APG, 5.9 RPG, and 2 SPG on 46/34/84 shooting splits (in the sixteen games since Paolo Banchero’s injury). While Wagner has been amazing, he is due for some negative regression since Banchero is expected to return in the coming weeks. Franz only averaged 17.8 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 3.4 APG, and 1.4 SPG on 51/39/92 splits in the first five games with Paolo. Wagner’s shooting efficiency should improve, but the lack of volume is a good enough reason to sell Franz at a premium while you can.

Damian Lillard

(Milwaukee Bucks G)

Damian Lillard has been on a roll lately as he’s gone for 30.7 PPG, 9.7 APG, and 4 RPG on 47/46/96 splits over his last three games. In his previous twelve games, Dame put up 24.8 PPG, 7.2 APG, and 4.6 RPG on 43/31/90 splits. Lillard has been playing at an extremely high level as of late, but isn’t a must sell player due to his high volume. If you see an opportunity to sell Lillard at a premium, now would be a great time to do so.

Amen Thompson

(Houston Rockets G/F)

Amen Thompson has had a great stretch of games as he’s put up 15.8 PPG, 9.5 RPG, 2.7 SPG, and 2 BPG on 63% from the field through his last four games. Thompson is an extremely talented athletic specimen off the bench, so this isn’t totally surprising for the young wing. Through his first sixteen games, Amen averaged 10.9 PPG, 6.4 RPG, and 1.7 BPG on 55% FG%, so I expect Thompson to see some offensive regression, barring any injuries to Houston, given his production as of late has been insanely good.

P.J. Washington

(Dallas Mavericks F)

With Luka Doncic out, P.J. Washington has taken on a larger offensive workload for the Dallas Mavericks. Washington is averaging 18.3 PPG, 10.3 RPG, and 1.7 SPG on 52/50/82 shooting splits over his last four games. In the nine games with Luka Doncic active, Washington is only putting up 7.8 PPG, 7.1 RPG, and 1.5 SPG on 39/26/37 splits. While his shooting efficiency won’t be that poor due to Luka’s return, his volume will definitely take a dip once Doncic is back (4.4 less FGA with Doncic playing).

Brandon Miller

(Charlotte Hornets G/F)

With Miles Bridges sidelined, Brandon Miller has stepped up for Charlotte. The second-year wing has gone for 26.2 PPG, 7.2 RPG, and 1.4 SPG on 43/41/87 shooting splits in his last five contests (all without Bridges active). However, in the games he’s played with Bridges, Miller’s volume is down, which means he’ll presumably see a drop in fantasy appeal once Miles is back in the lineup. Brandon put up 15.4 PPG, 3.6 RPG, and 3.3 APG on 38/33/85 splits, meaning now is the perfect time to sell Miller at a premium.
