Week 14 is arguably the toughest week to set your lineups with a ton of bye weeks. For everyone who’s on the verge of a playoff push, this is extremely bad timing, but it makes for an intense ending. These running back and wide receiver rankings will be tailored toward a start 7, PPR format, but you can really apply this to all formats. With that said, let’s dive into these week 14 running back and wide receiver rankings in order to help you get into the fantasy football playoffs.
Rankings are made under the following injury assumptions. These are just predictions based on the most recent news at 12/3. Rankings will change as new updates come out.

Must Start: WR
Marvin Harrison Jr. vs SEA
ESPN Projection - WR28
For the FTR start of the week, the players that will be eligible for this list are all close to being ranked as a back-end WR2/RB2 based on ESPN’s PPR projections. Despite coming into the year as a locked and loaded starter on every team, it’s been tough to start Marvin Harrison Jr consistently this year. Now that Harrison is coming off his bye week, we’ve seen him score 7.7 and 17 points, but what stands out to me is the season-high 12 targets in week 13.
Harrison also has a pretty good matchup as the Seahawks have allowed the 17th most points to wide receivers this year. While that doesn’t really move the needle, PFF’s WR/CB Tool gives him a “good” matchup advantage score of 79.6. Starting Harrison has been anything but consistent, however this week you should feel good at least plugging him in your FLEX spot.

Must Start: RB
Isaac Guerendo vs CHI
ESPN Projection - RB22
In a chaotic turn of events, Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason are both headed to the IR for week 14. This means that 4th round pick Isaac Guerendo has been given the lead to the 49ers backfield. Guerendo is an explosive back who’s scored 9.9 and 19.9 points in both games he’s had more than 10 carries. Here’s a full film breakdown that talks about Guerendo a bit more as a player.
While RB14 does seem a little high going against the Bears defense, the massive bye week spree has pushed him up. It’s definitely worth noting that the Bears have allowed the 4th least fantasy points to running backs (344.4 points) this year. Even though Trent Williams has been missing time recently, PFF still ranked the 49ers offensive line 11th last week giving me some more confidence in Guerendo.
