Top 2025 Dynasty Rookies Who Will Skyrocket With These Landing Spots

The fantasy football playoffs are almost over, so it’s officially time to start looking ahead to the 2025 NFL Draft! If your real-life team has been eliminated from playoff contention, the next logical step is to start checking out the top few prospects in this year’s class to project who your team might end up selecting.

Of course, a lot of these projections could be way off after the pre-draft process (NFL Combine, Senior Bowl, College Pro Days, etc.) has concluded. But it’s still fun to see who might end up where this coming April. If you’re interested, stick around to see which teams could end up with some of the 2025 NFL Draft’s top prospects!

Luther Burden (WR)

Landing Spot - Washington Commanders

Before the start of the 2024 college football season, Luther Burden was seen as a lock to be selected in the top-ten of this year’s draft. However, after a season spent in a Missouri offense that struggled to pass the ball deep downfield, Burden saw his draft stock fall slightly.

Unfortunately, not all of this was his fault. Missouri’s offense was more geared towards winning games by running the football, rather than utilizing the passing game. This led to Burden seeing less opportunities to make explosive plays. That being said, Missouri still made a point to get the ball in Burden’s hands, and it’s not like he had a terrible season. However, his yardage total was basically cut in half, leading to a fall in Burden’s draft projections.

Burden is an extremely versatile and athletic wide receiver. Many offenses will be looking to add a pass-catcher of his caliber during the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. In dynasty fantasy football, Burden is an elite prospect. This is reflected by this Fantasy Trading Room Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft, which projected Burden as the third-best dynasty prospect in this year’s draft.

I think Luther Burden would be a great fit in Washington alongside wideout Terry McLaurin. Burden projects to be an elite slot receiver at the professional level, so placing him within a dynamic Commanders offense would give standout quarterback Jayden Daniels another explosive weapon to work with.  If the Commanders are serious about contending while their franchise quarterback is still on his rookie contract, this move would be a huge win for the team’s front office as they continue to build around Daniels.

There’s no better way to assist the development of your young quarterback than to supply him with an elite wide receiver prospect. Burden and McLaurin would make a fantastic duo in Washington and could lead the team to establishing itself as one of the NFL’s best offenses.

Tyler Warren (TE)

Landing Spot - Indianapolis Colts

Penn State tight end Tyler Warren was one of the biggest surprises of the 2024 college football season, leading to his dramatic rise in draft rankings. He is now seen as this year’s top tight end prospect by many scouts, leading to a growing amount of first-round buzz surrounding the versatile tight end. At Penn State, Warren’s player profile has been built around his versatility, according to Bleacher Report's Scouting Report.

He has been lined up in practically every position on the offensive side of the football, making him an elite potential weapon for any team that decides to take a chance on him in the first round. Tyler Warren also possesses the typical size of an NFL tight end and is an extremely skilled receiver and blocker. However, like many tight ends, he will need to develop on the right team for a season or two before reaching his full potential.

The Colts would be a fantastic landing spot for Tyler Warren. Indianapolis is in desperate need of a playmaker at the tight end position, according to this Fantasy Trading Room article. Matching up Warren with dynamic young quarterback Anthony Richardson would also be very intriguing for the team’s future on offense.

Giving Richardson another weapon to work with is the way to go as the quarterback enters his make-or-break third year in the NFL. If the Colts want to help their young quarterback develop, surrounding him with versatile playmakers to open up the team’s offensive playbook is a great way to go.

Travis Hunter (WR)

Landing Spot - Jacksonville Jaguars

If two-way player Travis Hunter is still available when the Jaguars make their selection, this would be a major win for the franchise. Firstly, they get an elite offensive weapon to pair with 2024 first-round pick Brian Thomas Jr. at receiver. Secondly, Jacksonville receives an instinctive and potential superstar cornerback to help bolster their defensive backfield.

Hunter, who is the top overall player on the CBS Sports 2025 NFL Draft Prospect Rankings,  would get the chance to develop his game with quarterback Trevor Lawrence and to receive a lot of targets early on. Also, since Jacksonville is in full rebuild-mode, Travis Hunter would be able to make his mark on both sides of the football, showcasing his generational versatility.

Travis Hunter was a certified playmaker on both sides of the ball at Colorado, so there’s no doubt that his elite skill set will transfer to the professional level to at least one position, possibly even both. Hunter is going to be a difference-maker at the NFL level, and if the Jaguars are able to snag him with their first-round pick, he is going to help the team move towards contention for years to come.

Omarion Hampton (RB)

Landing Spot - Denver Broncos

The 2025 rookie running back class is elite, and Boise State superstar Ashton Jeanty is at the top of every rookie running back ranking out there. However, this running back class is not only elite in terms of talent, but also in terms of depth. Many consider North Carolina running back Omarion Hampton to be the second-best running back in this year’s class. Even though he has been overshadowed by Jeanty, there is no doubt that he has the potential to become a true three-down back on an NFL roster.

On film, Hampton showcases elite physicality, contact balance, and acceleration. He also possesses surprising speed and elusiveness. Hampton has a three-down skill set that many NFL teams will be wanting to add to their offenses this coming April. He could be the second running back off the board in this loaded class and might be given the chance to start right away.  One of the most needy teams in the NFL in terms of rushing production is the Denver Broncos.

They have struggled to find a lead running back over the last few seasons and would be overjoyed at the chance to select a player like Hampton to take some of the load off of their passing attack. Hampton would be the immediate starter and could be a valuable fantasy football asset even in his rookie campaign. If Denver drafts Omarion Hampton, he will be able to display his physical dominance at the NFL level and Denver could end up with one of the league’s better rushing attacks.
