2025 Dynasty Rookie Rankings & Tiers (Top 24)

The redraft season is over and the college football playoffs are in full swing. That means it’s time to dive into the 2025 dynasty rookie class. Now that I’ve had some time to watch some film and evaluate these players, I’m ready to dive into my first set of 2025 dynasty rookie rankings.

These are independent of projected landing spots, but if you’re interested in that, Joe Burks created a two-round 2025 dynasty mock draft. (click here) That said, let’s dive into these top 24 dynasty rookie rankings & tiers. These rankings will assume a Superflex/PPR format.

Biggest 2025 Riser

Cam Skattebo, Arizona State (RB)

Technically, both Cam Skattebo or Will Howard could be deserving of this title, but one thing is for sure. The college football playoffs have shot up their draft stock drastically. I’ve been familiar with Skattebo’s game since the start of the season, but as a running back in the Big 12, I wasn’t very interested.

Looking for late-round running backs with great pass-catching upside is typically a good idea. Even as a junior, Skattebo caught 24 passes for 286 yards. He really took off as a junior in both aspects, running for 1,711 yards (5.8 YPC) and 21 touchdowns while also catching 45 passes for 605 yards.

While Skattebo won’t test very well, he has the upside to become a Kyren Williams Esq back. In the biggest moment of his career against Texas, Skattebo dominated, running for 143 yards (4.8 YPC) and two touchdowns in addition to his eight catches for 99 yards. The profile may not be perfect, but Skattebo is a plus receiver who has been too productive not to be included on this list.

FTR Newcomer

Will Howard, Ohio State (QB)

In an extremely weak quarterback class, my QB4 has been wide-open all year. Previously, I had Jaxson Dart, but after looking at Will Howard’s profile, he’s taken over the throne. For starters, Howard has elite size at 6’4” 235 lbs which scouts will love. On top of that, he ran for 351 yards with nine touchdowns in 2023 and 165 yards with seven touchdowns in 2024.

Howard is 23 years old, but Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix and Michael Penix Jr have helped ease this concern. He also has fantastic arm strength with good velocity on his passes. While his accuracy and decision-making have been inconsistent at times, I’ve been extremely impressed with his play in the college football playoffs. If Howard keeps up this fantastic play on the biggest stage, he’ll rise even further up my rankings in the coming weeks.
