Top 10 Offenses to Target in 2025 Fantasy Football

Every season of fantasy football comes with its own set of surprises, and the 2025 fantasy season will be no exception. Several teams are shaping up to be good bets to produce multiple fantasy football stars heading into 2025, so game-planning your draft around drafting a few players from at least some of these teams is a good idea.

In this article, we will look at which offenses are flying a bit under the radar for 2025 fantasy football. (Note: This is NOT a top 10 ranking!)

Atlanta Falcons

Offenses with new starting quarterbacks are always very exciting in fantasy football. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. took over for a struggling Kirk Cousins in Atlanta late in the season and never looked back. He put together some excellent plays over the last few games of the season and almost got the team into the playoffs due to a weak NFC South.

If Penix can find a way to facilitate this offense at a high level, we could see some massive results in terms of fantasy production. Wide receiver Drake London had a breakout campaign in 2024, posting 1,271 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. He was unquestionably one of the best receivers in the sport and should only improve if Penix has a strong sophomore season.

Bijan Robinson has established himself as one of the best running backs in the league. With a young quarterback, having a strong running game to balance out the offense is a major plus. If the Falcons lean on Bijan even more, he has overall RB1 upside.

Los Angeles Chargers

It was an impressive first season at the helm for head coach Jim Harbaugh, guiding the team to a playoff appearance in his first season in L.A. Overall, this team has a lot to work with offensively for years to come. Quarterback Justin Herbert is an obvious plus and presents top-12 upside at his position every season.

Wide receiver Ladd McConkey broke onto the scene as a rookie, registering 1,149 receiving yards in his first season. If this duo can continue to develop their connection, this offense could be very dangerous for a long time. If running back J.K. Dobbins is allowed to hit free agency, the team may consider drafting many of the draft-eligible running backs in the outstanding incoming rookie class. If they select a rookie to lead their rushing attack, that player will have immediate upside in a run-heavy scheme.

Denver Broncos

The Broncos were one of the biggest surprises of the season in 2024, led by rookie quarterback Bo Nix. Nix was fantastic this season and is a top-10 option at the quarterback position going forward. Wide receivers Courtland Sutton and Marvin Mims Jr. also had strong seasons and are both very fantasy-relevant heading into 2025.

Specifically, Mims is a serious breakout candidate in 2025 fantasy football after logging 216 receiving yards in the last three games of the regular season. Denver is likely to bring in a new running back this offseason as well, so the depth chart at the running back position could be due for a shake-up. Nonetheless, this offense should be productive in 2025.

Detroit Lions

This one may be obvious, but Detroit is in an odd place after losing former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson this offseason. Johnson has been hired as the head coach of the Chicago Bears, leaving fantasy managers questioning how they should value the top Lions in 2025.

Despite this, I still think that quarterback Jared Goff, wide receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams, running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, and tight end Sam LaPorta will be very productive in 2025.

Goff has a lot of weapons to work with next season, Montgomery had been very consistent before his injury, Gibbs was one of the best players in fantasy this season, St. Brown was consistently fantastic, Williams had a breakout season, and LaPorta was one of the best tight ends in the league down the stretch this year. This team will be fine without Ben Johnson. Not quite as elite, but fine.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay has been one of the NFL’s most consistent teams over the last few seasons, and I don’t believe their offense will skip a beat in 2025 despite the departure of offensive coordinator Liam Coen to the Jacksonville head coaching position. Quarterback Baker Mayfield has dealt with many coordinator changes over his career and has still been great, especially in Tampa.

I trust the Bucs’ staff to bring in yet another fantastic offensive mind to lead the charge on that side of the ball. Wide receiver Mike Evans should still be great next year; that’s an easy prediction. However, if receiver Chris Godwin leaves in free agency this offseason, rookie receiver Jalen McMillan could be given the chance to shine. He came on strong down the stretch of the season, showing a strong connection with Mayfield and scoring seven touchdowns in his last five regular season games.

Rookie running back Bucky Irving had a standout rookie season in 2024 and will be drafted highly in 2025. This offense will be one to watch in next season.

Washington Commanders

Like Denver, Washington thrived with a rookie quarterback who led them to a playoff berth. Jayden Daniels put together one of the greatest rookie quarterback seasons of all-time, leading many fantasy teams to championships in the process.

Wideout Terry McLaurin also benefited from having the best quarterback play of his career, putting together 1,096 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2024. If the pair hit the ground running in 2025, they will both be top-tier fantasy options at their positions and should be drafted high.

A sleeper to watch in this offense is tight end Ben Sinnott, who has been backing up Zach Ertz for most of the season. If he’s allowed to compete for the starting job in 2025, the young, versatile tight end could play a major role in the offense.

Arizona Cardinals

Arizona had a decent year, but there is plenty of room to improve. Quarterback Kyler Murray wasn’t bad but struggled to form a strong connection with rookie wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. Tight end Trey McBride had a fantastic season and is a strong candidate for positive touchdown regression in 2025. He should be drafted with overall TE1 upside in mind.

If Harrison can get on the same page as Murray in 2025, the pair could be extremely explosive. After disappointing this year, Harrison is a great buy-low option to pick up for your team next season. As I specified in my Veteran RBs To Avoid article, I’m a little lower than most on running back James Conner heading into 2025, but fellow back Trey Benson could surprise the fantasy community if he’s more involved next year.

Chicago Bears

The Bears hired former Detroit offensive coordinator Ben Johnson to fill their head coaching vacancy. This is a fantastic move from the organization and should aid in the development of rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. Williams had a solid rookie season but struggled with a poor offensive line.

With wideouts D.J. Moore and Rome Odunze set to return in 2025, the Bears could target a running back in the draft. I theorized this in my Veteran RBs To Avoid article. With Ben Johnson calling plays, this team should show significant improvement on the offensive side of the ball. Chicago will also hopefully fix their offensive line issue this offseason.

New England Patriots

Similar to the Johnson hire, I am a huge fan of New England hiring Mike Vrabel to be their head coach. Vrabel led the Tennessee Titans to success in both the regular season and the playoffs in the past, so there’s no question of his skill as a coach.

Rookie quarterback Drake Maye looked very good in his first season, so if the team prioritizes getting him weapons and protection in free agency and the draft this offseason, every part of this Patriots offense could improve. I am not very optimistic about the running backs currently on the roster for fantasy purposes, but who knows, maybe they will shine under Vrabel.

Houston Texans

After the Divisional Round loss to Kansas City, Houston fired offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik and is on the hunt for a new coach to fill that position. Houston’s top priority should be adding talent to their offensive line to protect quarterback C.J. Stroud. If he’s given time to get the ball to wideout Nico Collins, the team should do well offensively.

Running back Joe Mixon had a solid year, but could be replaced this offseason through the draft. A rookie successor would probably not start immediately but could be an interesting asset in fantasy football. Overall, I am still trusting Houston’s passing game moving forward in 2025 fantasy football.
