The 2025 NFL Draft is set up to be just as star-studded as the previous few years. However, taking an early look at which players you will be able to choose from using your dynasty team’s stash of rookie draft picks over the next few seasons is a good way to game plan for your team-building strategy heading into this dynasty offseason.
Knowing exactly what you’re trading for or away when involving future rookie picks in trades is a smart decision to ensure your squad’s ability to become competitive in the future.
Let’s look over the top devy prospects for dynasty fantasy football to help prepare for this dynasty fantasy season and beyond!
(Note: This list is in no particular order!)
Jeremiah Smith
(WR, Ohio State)
Draft Eligibility: 2027
This should be a surprise to no one. Jeremiah Smith put up one of the best seasons from a freshman wideout we’ve ever seen. He simply dominated in every way at the position, excelling against stellar competition in the Big 10.
Smith is an excellent athlete, an elite route-runner, and a true top wideout in contested catch situations. He would’ve likely been a top-five pick in this year’s draft and could end up developing into one of the best wide receiver prospects of the last decade.
The first-year receiver put up 1,315 receiving yards, 15 receiving touchdowns, and a whopping 17.3 yards per reception. He is a well-rounded prospect who currently profiles to be a true WR1 at the NFL level.
Even though he still has a few more years of college football to play, emerging as the top target on a National Championship team in his freshman year while putting up impressive statistics is enough for me to be sold on Smith’s talent already. I would be shocked if he’s not an early first-round pick in a few years, as well as a top pick in dynasty rookie drafts once he finally enters the NFL.
The young receiver has earned the respect of the college football world, it will be interesting to see how a new quarterback will affect his numbers in 2025.
Arch Manning
(QB, Texas)
Draft Eligibility: 2026
Arch Manning is expected to become one of the best quarterbacks in college football this season. Taking over the starting job at Texas, he already has a playoff-caliber roster to work with, raising his ceiling as far as production goes.
Manning should end up being a superstar in the family business and is expected to be a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft if he chooses to declare. The young quarterback has patiently waited behind Quinn Ewers for his chance to be the program’s quarterback, and he will finally get the chance to live up to the hype during the upcoming college football season.
As a prospect, Manning flashes playmaking and dual-threat capabilities, posting 108 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground in limited action in 2024. His athleticism is fantastic, and his rushing upside adds another dimension to his game.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Manning become the consensus 1.01 selection in many 2026 dynasty rookie drafts, especially in superflex leagues. He will rise to stardom this season at the helm of the Longhorns offense.
Ryan Williams
(WR, Alabama)
Draft Eligibility: 2027
Similarly to Smith, Alabama’s Ryan Williams had a fantastic freshman season with the Crimson Tide. While Williams’ production wasn’t extremely consistent, he frequently made his presence known as a big-play threat in SEC play.
A 177-yard performance against the Georgia Bulldogs was the highlight of his freshman year, proving that he would have no trouble producing against elite competition at the college level.
Williams is an elite deep threat with ridiculous speed and acceleration that leaves defensive backs in the dust. It’s hard to limit his production down the field as a result, and many teams learned that lesson the hard way during this past season. He can take the top off of a defense at any given moment and has plenty of time to develop before the 2027 NFL Draft.
Williams will likely be fighting with Jeremiah Smith over the next few seasons to decide who will be the top wideout in the 2027 NFL Draft, so expect elite production from both players over the course of their collegiate careers.
DJ Lagway
(QB, Florida)
Draft Eligibility: 2027
DJ Lagway took over the Gators’ starting job halfway through the 2024 college football season and showed some serious flashes, leading many to believe that he could end up taking a massive leap in 2025.
Lagway has an extremely strong arm and several other tools necessary to develop into a top quarterback prospect within the next few seasons. He is a decent runner and has sufficient size to compete at the NFL level.
With already half a season of college football under his belt, Lagway could draw significant interest down the line as a young quarterback entering a league looking for prospects at the position with experience. Although some injury concerns have popped up recently, I believe that Lagway will massively boost his draft stock if he can remain healthy in 2025.
Jeremiyah Love
(RB, Notre Dame)
Draft Eligibility: 2026
Jeremiyah Love was the offensive centerpiece for the 2024 Notre Dame squad that made the National Championship game. The Fighting Irish running back put together an amazing season, logging 1,125 rushing yards, 17 rushing touchdowns, and 6.9 yards per carry.
Love has showcased incredible long speed, elite contact balance, and the ability to punch in shorter runs on the goal line on a consistent basis. He will enter next season as the top running back in college football.
Love has all the skills needed to become a three-down back at the NFL level. He could definitely end up as a first-round selection in 2026 with another strong season at Notre Dame, and with the team set to lean on their rushing attack next year, Love should be in a great position to increase his draft stock even further.
I am excited to see if Love can improve upon his 2024 number and become a truly elite prospect in 2026.
