With the NFL Draft around the corner, today I’m bringing you an NFL Draft Mock, but only the dynasty relevant players. None of those measly defensive players and offensive lineman that exist just to make a mess of perfectly good dynasty-relevant draft spots.
All jokes aside, this mock provides landing spots for all of the quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends who I expect to be drafted through Round five.
Round 1
Pick 1 - Tennessee Titans - Cam Ward
This may not be a strong QB class, but it’s not 2022, and Cam Ward is no Kenny Pickett.
Pick 2 - Cleveland Browns - Travis Hunter
How many snaps will he actually play at Wide Receiver?
Pick 6 - Las Vegas Raiders - Ashton Jeanty
Could the Raiders offence actually be good?
Pick 9 - New Orleans Saints - Shadeur Sanders
In what world would Saints fans want Derek Carr back as their starting quarterback? The one where Shadeur Sanders is their Day 1 starter.
Pick 12 - Dallas Cowboys - Tet McMillan
CeeDee Lamb can’t do it by himself in Dallas.
Pick 14 - Indianapolis Colts - Tyler Warren
I see it now - Anthony Richardson, Jonathan Taylor, and Tyler Warren all lined up in the Colts’ backfield. Must watch TV.
Pick 20 - Denver Broncos - Colston Loveland
Courtland Sutton can’t do it by himself in - wait, I already did that one. Colston Loveland + Bo Nix + Sean Payton = Fantasy Greatness.
Pick 21 - Pittsburgh Steelers - Omarion Hampton
Arthur Smith with Omarion Hampton has the potential to go very right or very wrong for fantasy purposes.
Pick 23 - Green Bay Packers - Matthew Golden
The Packers need a WR1. Matthew Golden is the best chance to be that at this stage in the NFL Draft.
Pick 25 - Houston Texans - Emeka Egbuka
I don’t think there’s a better pairing than the Texans and Emeka Egbuka. With Nico Collins as the X-receiver and Egbuka in the slot, CJ Stroud should re-establish himself as a dominant quarterback in year 3.
Pick 26 - Los Angeles Rams - Jaxson Dart
Another year, another quarterback taken in the 1st round to sit behind an accomplished veteran.
Round 2
Pick 36 - Jacksonville Jaguars - Luther Burden
The Jaguars stop Luther Burden’s slide and create one of the most dynamic young wide receiver duos in the league.
Pick 47 - Arizona Cardinals - TreVeyon Henderson
The Cardinals are committed to the ground game, and with James Conner aging and Trey Benson not inspiring confidence in year 1, the Cardinals should be willing to take TreVeyon Henderson as BPA, despite the anger it causes fantasy managers everywhere.
Pick 48 - Miami Dolphins - Elic Ayomanor
The Dolphins see the immense potential of Elic Ayomanor as a freak athlete and begin to prepare for Tyreek Hill’s future departure.
Pick 50 - Seattle Seahawks - Elijah Arroyo
With DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett out in Seattle, the team adds a big athletic target to help out new quarterback Sam Darnold.
Pick 55 - Los Angeles Chargers - Tre Harris
Tre Harris gives the Chargers a big outside target to complement Ladd McConkey’s game from the slot.
Pick 57 - Carolina Panthers - Kaleb Johnson
Dave Canales has already shown everyone how much he values the running back position, and after a disastrous ACL re-injury by his 2024 selection, Canales brings in Kaleb Johnson to complement Chuba Hubbard.
Pick 59 - Baltimore Ravens - Jayden Higgins
DeAndre Hopkins may have enough left in the tank to contribute in 2025, but the Ravens look to add their X-receiver of the future before the need becomes too pressing.
Pick 64 - Philadelphia Eagles - Mason Taylor
With a lot of big money deals on the books, the Eagles may struggle to keep Dallas Goedert around long term. Grabbing his replacement now is a prudent choice.
Round 3
Pick 67 - Cleveland Browns - Quinshon Judkins
The Browns continue to add young offensive talent around a tank-commanding fill-in at quarterback. Surely a Manning can fix Cleveland’s woes.
Pick 69 - New England Patriots - Jaylin Noel
While waiting until round 3 to add a pass catcher is far from ideal, the Patriots have plenty of holes to fill.
Pick 72 - Chicago Bears - Dylan Sampson
The Bears get their early down back to complement, and likely outshine, D’Andre Swift.
Pick 76 - Dallas Cowboys - Devin Neal
Devin Neal is a sufficient, albeit uninspiring, addition to return the Cowboy’s running back room to relevance.
Pick 77 - New England Patriots - Jack Bech
The Patriots take the quantity over quality approach with the wide receiver position.
Pick 88 - Jacksonville Jaguars - Harold Fannin
RIP Bretton Strange hype, March 2025 - April 2025.
Pick 92 - Seattle Seahawks - Kyle Williams
The Seahawks go from the most physically imposing X-receiver in the league to the least.
Pick 93 - New Orleans Saints - Cam Skattebo
Time will tell if a late round 3 draft capital is enough to keep Cam Skattebo in the early 2nd round of consensus rookie mock drafts.
Pick 99 - New York Giants - Isaiah Bond
The Giants aren’t scared off by the numerous red flags in Isaiah Bond’s profile and bet that the attention Nabers demands will leave room for Bond’s athleticism to flourish.
Pick 100 - San Francisco 49ers - Bhayshul Tuten
My top late round rookie draft target becomes the most valuable handcuff in fantasy.
Round 4
Pick 103 - Tennessee Titans - Tez Johnson
Tez Johnson gives Cam Ward a multi-faceted weapon.
Pick 108 - Las Vegas Raiders - Jalen Royals
Jalen Royals gives the Raiders some depth with a path to a significant role.
Pick 110 - New York Jets - Terrance Ferguson
The Jets hope Terrance Ferguson can fill their need at tight end sooner rather than later.
Pick 120 - Tennessee Titans - Xavier Restrepo
The Titans double dip at receiver in the 4th round to stop Cam Ward’s Miami teammate's fall.
Pick 123 - Pittsburgh Steelers - Savion Williams
If you thought Arthur Smith’s Cordarrelle Patterson usage was frustrating, just wait until he has Savion Williams as an offensive weapon.
Pick 128 - Washington Commanders - DJ Giddens
The Commanders add the explosive back they were searching for to complement Brian Robinson, or possibly replace him.
Pick 130 - Detroit Lions - Damien Martinez
David Montgomery may prove to be an unaffordable luxury sooner rather than later. Damien Martinez could offer 90% of the production for less than 15% the cost.
Pick 138 - San Francisco 49ers - Tory Horton
With Deebo Samuel gone and Brandon Aiyuk’s future with the team uncertain, the 49ers add some pass catching depth.
Round 5
Pick 139 - Minnesota Vikings - RJ Harvey
Aaron Jones may be approaching the end of his career, and with his injury history, adding depth to the backfield is a prudent move.
Pick 142 - Jacksonville Jaguars - Brashard Smith
With Travis Etienne’s contract ending and Tank Bigsby showing little pass catching ability, the Jaguars add possibly the best pass catching running back in this class.
Pick 144 - New England Patriots - Ollie Gordon
Who are the Patriots getting, 2023 Ollie Gordon, or the much less exciting 2024 version?
Pick 148 - Chicago Bears - Gunnar Helm
Gerald Everett’s time in Chicago was as much of a disappointment as you can get from a TE2. Gunnar Helm brings depth to a Ben Johnson offence that likes two tight end sets.
Pick 154 - New York Giants - Tahj Brooks
The Giants try to go 2/2 on 5th round running backs in the past two years with this selection. Tahj Brooks would be a good complement to Tyrone Tracy’s game.
Pick 166 - Houston Texans - Trevor Etienne
While Joe Mixon has been very healthy throughout his career, missing a few games last season showed that the Texans could use some extra depth in the backfield.
