Top 10 Players in Fantasy 2024 (AFC East Edition)

10.  Dalton Kincaid (TE) - Buffalo Bills

 

Kincaid is the only Bills pass catcher who cracks the top 10. While Curtis Samuel, Khalil Shakir, and rookie Keon Coleman battle it out for the distinction of WR1, Kincaid is, as of right now, the only pass catcher on this roster who seems guaranteed to make an impact in fantasy. Kincaid’s upside is strong enough to make him a borderline top 5 fantasy tight end in 2024 with only the likes of Travis Kelce, Sam LaPorta, and Mark Andrews firmly ahead of him.

 

9. Raheem Mostert (RB) - Miami Dolphins

 

Despite being the likely RB2 on the Dolphins’ depth chart, Mostert still has plenty of fantasy potential as a mid-round draft pick in most standard leagues. Miami proved to be a highly productive offense in 2023 and one that placed many of its’ offensive weapons in a position to thrive. Aside from being a 1,000-yard rusher in 2023, Mostert also remains a decent threat as a pass catcher in an offense which often employs screens and other gadget plays.

 

8. Rhamondre Stevenson (RB) - New England Patriots

 

Rhamondre Stevenson is quite literally the only Patriots player that is draftable in 2024 (unless your league is more than a dozen teams deep). He’ll also likely be their only source of consistent offensive production which makes him a moderately attractive option considering his high usage rate. However, Stevenson struggled to stay healthy last season and remained on the injury report through most of the year. Also, New England’s offense is bad enough to severely limit Stevenson’s red zone opportunities. 

 

7. Jaylen Waddle (WR) - Miami Dolphins

 

It can be argued that Jaylen Waddle has earned the distinction of being the best WR2 in the NFL. His production has been consistent over the first three seasons of his career, surpassing 1,000 receiving yards in each of those years. Even though his production is still dwarfed by that of Tyreek Hill, Waddle is still a dynamic player with potentially game-breaking speed. Waddle ultimately does not get enough touches to be considered a fantasy WR1, although he remains a strong option as a WR2.

 

6. James Cook (RB) - Buffalo Bills

 

James Cook had a breakout season in 2023, rushing for 1,122 yards, combing with 44 receptions for 445 yards. Despite cementing himself as Buffalo’s bell cow running back, Cook only found the end zone twice all year on the ground and an additional four times as a pass catcher. The absence of rushing touchdowns from Cook's statline can be attributed to the fact that Josh Allen had 15 of them. Touchdowns remain the most important statistic in fantasy football and Cook’s lack of production in that department will cause him to place a bit lower on draft boards.

 

5.  De’Von Achane (RB) - Miami Dolphins

 

De’Von Achane exploded onto the scene with 47.3 points in Week 3, 2023 during the Dolphins’ historic 70-20 blowout of the Broncos. Despite dealing with an injury spell that kept him sidelined through much of the middle portion of the season, Achane was a reliable producer when he was on the field. Assuming he can stay healthy, Achane should receive the majority of touches among Miami’s stacked running back room.

 

4. Josh Allen (QB) - Buffalo Bills

 

The Bills superstar QB holds a firm grasp on the title of undisputed fantasy QB1, with no one else being particularly close in terms of production. Allen had 44 total touchdowns and 4,830 total yards in 2023, making him the definition of a league winner. The simple fact is no QB in the NFL puts up gaudier numbers and numbers are all that matter in fantasy sports. Despite how good Allen is, there are still three players in his division who should be picked ahead of him.

 

3.  Garrett Wilson (WR) - New York Jets

 

Both Garrett Wilson and Garrett Wilson fantasy owners alike have not had the best of luck over the past two seasons. Maybe now, in Wilson’s third season, we will finally see him catch passes from someone better than Zach Wilson. The risks surrounding drafting Wilson (Garrett Wilson, of course) are still present, seeing how his new QB is in his 40s and coming off of an achilles tear, but the potential for a serious breakout campaign is almost overwhelming. As long as Aaron Rodgers stays healthy, I can’t envision anything holding Wilson back from cementing himself as a superstar.


2. Breece Hall (RB)  - New York Jets

 

If it weren’t for Christian McCaffrey, Breece Hall would have a serious case as the best running back prospect in fantasy for 2024. Last season, Hall was the only consistent producer on an offensively challenged Jets team which otherwise had very few fantasy bright spots. Having a healthy Aaron Rodgers will provide an undeniable boost to an offense which hasn’t been good in a very long time, making Hall one of the biggest benefactors.

 

1. Tyreek Hill (WR) - Miami Dolphins

 

One can have a serious debate as to whether Tyreek Hill or CeeDee Lamb deserves to be the consensus number 2 overall pick after Christian McCaffrey. But that conversation is irrelevant here since Lamb plays in a different division and conference, leaving Hill to be ranked as the clear and obvious number one. Since joining the Dolphins in 2022, Hill has 238 receptions, 3,509 receiving yards, and 20 receiving touchdowns. He should be drafted no lower than third in any draft.
