Welcome to the start of my 2025 summer scouting series. To get things started, we’ll be going through my 2025 quarterback watch list aka my top 10 quarterback rankings. This isn’t an all-encompassing list so let me know if there are any quarterbacks you’d recommend checking out. A couple of other things I want to point out before we get started, these rankings and profiles aren’t as comprehensive as my 2024 position rankings and are more things that stood out on my re-watch of them. So, I don’t have charting like I did for my 2024 quarterback profiles with the exception of Cam Ward as I completed his profile for the 2024 draft after he declared for the draft but before he decided to change course and return to school. 979 yards; 8 TDs; 2 INTs Rushing: 12 carries; 63 yards; 2 TDs; 1 Fumbles Strengths - Quick, efficient release - Great accuracy on the move - Good pocket awareness and movement skills Areas of Improvement - Footwork shows inexperience - Too much production was too close to the line of scrimmage - Very little playing time due to foot injury in 2023 Overall Impression Some nice tools but he needs to put it all together in a fully to nearly fully healthy season Quinn EwersTexas Longhorns (QB4) Height: 6’2” Weight: 195 poundsAge on Draft Day: 22 Years and 1 MonthClass: RS Junior 2023 Stats - Passing: 272/394 (69%); 3479 yards; 22 TDs; 6 INTs Rushing: 59 carries; 75 yards; 5 TDs; 3 Fumbles Strengths - Great arm talent - Improved mobility - Seemed to be more comfortable this year Areas of Improvement - Footwork is still inconsistent - Ball placement inconsistencies - Too many times where he locks onto a receiver Overall Impression A lot of natural talent but he needs to show more consistency and good fundamentals if he wants to be viewed by NFL teams as a prospect worth taking on day 1 Shedeur SandersColorado Buffaloes (QB3) Height: 6’2” Weight: 215 poundsAge on Draft Day: 23 Years and 2 MonthsClass: RS Junior 2023 Stats Passing: 298/430 (69.3%); 3230 yards; 27 TDs; 3 INTs Rushing: 111 carries; -77 yards; 4 TDs; 5 Fumbles Strengths - Quick release - Good vision in the open field - Shows good discipline hitting all areas of the field Areas of Improvement - Average arm strength - Footwork - Processing Overall Impression The talent is there, but he needs to improve his mechanics, pocket management, and processing skills to prove he is worthy of first-round consideration Noah FifitaArizona Wildcats (QB2) Height: 5’11” Weight: 194 poundsAge on Draft Day: 21 Years and 9 MonthsClass: RS Sophomore 2023 Stats Passing: 241/333 (72.4%); 2869 yards; 25 TDs; 6 INTs Rushing: 38 carries; -33 yards; 0 TDs; 2 Fumbles Strengths - Great accuracy - Quick Release - Decision making Areas of Improvement - Low ADOT - Size - Footwork Overall Impression Really like him and he will need to continue to build on the end of his 2023 season to become a more viable QB prospect Carson BeckGeorgia Bulldogs (QB1) Height: 6’4” Weight: 220 poundsAge on Draft Day: 22 Years and 5 MonthsClass: RS Senior 2023 Stats Passing: 302/417 (72.4%); 3941 yards; 24 TDs; 6 INTs Rushing: 60 carries; 116 yards; 4 TDs; 5 Fumbles Strengths - Sound mechanics and pocket presence - Throws with great touch and ball placement - Eyes as a passer Areas of Improvement - Release can be more efficient and cleaned up - Arm strength is good but not elite - Likely limited to a pocket passer in the NFL Overall Impression Solid player with some great accuracy. May not light the league on fire but has the ability to be a very capable starter for an NFL team.
